is Vocational Rehabilitation?

rehabilitation will help identify your abilities, skills, and work interests
so you can be matched with a good job. |

your employer and other professionals to help you return to work when the

Vocational
Rehabilitation is a step-by-step process. The 4 levels of this program
set by the Department of Labor, State of Hawaii, are:

same job with the same employer |
 |
A
different job with the same employer |
 |
A
similar or new job with a new employer |
 |
Retraining
(On-the-Job Experience, On-the-Job Training or Formal Schooling) |

Suitable
and gainful employment is defined as:

The
job should as closely as possible compare to the job on which you were
injured - in pay, benefits, employment status, level of responsibility
and education. Your physical abilities and the local labor market
must also be considered. |

Why the Selection of a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor is
Important

If you
do not select a counselor, one will be assigned to you by the Department of
Labor.

Counselor you choose should be an individual who is qualified, certified and experienced.
